She is allergic to the usual stuff, but she is part staffy, and part sharpei (amoung several others) so she is also allergic to herself. Anxiety can also set her off. This manifests as a red belly, red armpits, red paw webbing, and puffy legs. We have worked with a vet, and things like Cytopoint injections help, but they don’t resolve the problem.

Shea is a magical product, it moisturises, aids in wound healing, is antimicrobial- when tested on common yeasts found on dogs, it inhibits their growth, the same is true for rosemary oil and beeswax. Sweet almond oil is incredibly sensitive. It is recommended for use on premature babies. It has also been shown to reduce swelling (in people). Kawakawa and chamomile are soothing and analgesic. They have also been shown to promote wound healing (along with rosemary and marigold).

The before and after pictures say it all really. Our furry friends wash is designed for sensitive skin. It is SLES and SLS free. It is glycerine based so it replenishes the moisture barrier, whilst removing spent oils. It has our blend of kawakawa, rosemary, marigold and chamomile essential oils which calm any redness and dermatitis.

This is a low lather bar so we recommend using a silicone/ rubber curry brush to work it into the coat, let it sit as you brush the wet dog for 1-10 minutes (depending on how much fur they are shedding), before thoroughly rinsing. Avoid the dog’s eyes and ears.
